International shipping involves customs clearance, import duties, product compliance, and evolving trade regulations. Fabulk simplifies cross-border sourcing by integrating supplier coordination, warehouse operations, inspection, packaging, export handling, and international shipping management.
1. What Fabulk Handles for You
To reduce the complexity of international trade, we provide end-to-end operational support:
- Supplier sourcing coordination & order consolidation
- Warehouse receiving, quality inspection, sorting & packaging
- Export customs declaration in China
- International logistics arrangement & tracking
- Customs coordination through logistics partners
For DDP shipments, additional services may include import clearance coordination and duty prepayment depending on the selected route.
2. DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) Service
DDP simplifies importing by having Fabulk and logistics partners coordinate the entire cross-border delivery process, including export clearance, international transport, import clearance handling, prepaid duties/taxes (if included), and final-mile delivery.
3. Customer Responsibilities
Even under DDP, customers remain responsible for:
- Ensuring products are legally importable to the destination country
- Providing accurate consignee and order information
- Supplying compliance documents when required
- Confirming destination country regulations
- Cooperating with customs when additional information is requested
⚠️ For regulated products (children's goods, electronics, batteries), compliance documentation must be prepared in advance.
4. U.S. CPSC E-Filing Compliance (Effective July 8, 2026)
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission now requires Electronic Compliance Filing for many consumer products entering the United States.
Regulated Categories
- Children's products & toys
- Apparel, textiles & furniture
- Household & electrical products
- Battery-powered items
- Sporting goods
Required Documents
- GCC / CPC Certificates
- Test reports (if applicable)
- Manufacturer information
- Product ID & tracking data
⚠️ Failure to provide valid compliance documents may result in customs delays, inspections, storage fees, penalties, or refusal of entry. Fabulk does not issue certificates but can forward customer-provided documents through logistics channels.
5. Import Duties, Taxes & Tariffs (2026 Update)
There is no universal duty-free guarantee in 2026 global trade. Almost all shipments may be subject to customs review, import taxes, regulatory checks, and tariff adjustments.
🇺🇸 United States
- Section 321 (De Minimis) duty-free threshold no longer broadly applicable for commercial shipments
- Most imports subject to customs duties, Section 301 tariffs, AD/CVD, and import taxes
- Any shipment value may be assessed by customs
🇪🇺 European Union
- €150 duty-free threshold removed; import VAT applies regardless of value
- Customs duties based on category and origin
- CE / REACH / RoHS / EPR compliance may be required
🇬🇧 United Kingdom
- Import VAT based on shipment value and category
- Customs duties depend on HS code and origin
- Regulatory inspections at customs discretion
6. DDP vs DDU / DAP
| Aspect | DDP (Duty Paid) | DDU / DAP (Duty Unpaid) |
|---|---|---|
| Duties & Taxes | Prepaid by Fabulk/logistics partner (if included in route) | Paid by recipient upon arrival |
| Customs Clearance | Handled by logistics partner | Recipient coordinates with local customs |
| Customer Effort | Minimal – no direct customs interaction | Higher – must respond to customs requests |
| Best For | Buyers wanting seamless door-to-door delivery | Buyers with own customs brokers or tax exemptions |
7. Customs Inspection & Government Authority
All shipments may be subject to customs inspection regardless of shipping method, including document verification, product sampling, compliance checks, and valuation reassessment. These processes are determined solely by government authorities and cannot be influenced by Fabulk or logistics providers.
8. Our Commitment & Your Acknowledgement
Fabulk actively supports customers by coordinating suppliers, ensuring proper packaging/labeling, reducing logistics friction, providing document handling support, and improving route efficiency.
By placing an order, you confirm that:
- You understand your destination country's import regulations
- You accept responsibility for providing compliance documents when required
- You understand customs duties and taxes are government-imposed
- You understand DDP simplifies logistics but does not guarantee customs clearance
- You agree to cooperate with customs authorities when necessary
Customs duties, tariffs, import taxes, and regulatory requirements may change at any time due to government policy updates. Final determination of all customs charges is made solely by the destination country's customs authorities. Fabulk provides logistics coordination services but does not control or guarantee customs outcomes.
