International shipping involves customs clearance, import duties, product compliance, and evolving trade regulations.
At Fabulk, we simplify cross-border sourcing and logistics by integrating supplier coordination, warehouse operations, inspection, packaging, export handling, and international shipping management.
Depending on the service selected, we offer both DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) and DDU/DAP (Delivered Duty Unpaid / Delivered at Place) solutions.
This page explains:

What Fabulk Handles for You
To reduce the complexity of international trade, Fabulk provides end-to-end operational support, including:
- Supplier sourcing coordination
- Order consolidation
- Warehouse receiving
- Quality inspection
- Product sorting & packaging
- Export customs declaration in China
- International logistics arrangement
- Tracking & shipment management
- Customs coordination through logistics partners
For DDP shipments, additional logistics services may include import clearance coordination and duty prepayment (depending on the selected route).
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) Service
DDP is a logistics solution designed to simplify importing for customers.
When you select DDP shipping, Fabulk works with logistics partners to coordinate the entire cross-border delivery process.
DDP typically includes
- Export customs clearance in China
- International transportation
- Import customs clearance handling via logistics partners
- Prepaid import duties & taxes (if included in the shipping route)
- Final-mile delivery
Key benefit of DDP
Customers do not need to directly manage customs clearance or communicate with multiple logistics providers.
Important Clarification
DDP does not mean “no customs process” or “no inspection.”
Government authorities may still:
- inspect shipments
- verify product declarations
- request compliance documents
- reassess duties or tariffs
- apply additional regulatory requirements
These actions are controlled by customs authorities and cannot be guaranteed or overridden by any logistics provider.
Customer Responsibilities
Even under DDP, customers remain responsible for:
- Ensuring products are legally importable
- Providing accurate consignee and order information
- Supplying compliance documents when required
- Confirming destination country regulations
- Cooperating with customs when additional information is requested
For regulated products (such as children’s goods, electronics, or battery products), compliance documentation must be prepared in advance.
U.S. CPSC E-Filing Compliance (Effective 2026)
Starting July 8, 2026, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) requires Electronic Compliance Filing (E-Filing) for many consumer products entering the United States.
Common regulated categories include
- Children’s products
- Toys
- Apparel & textiles
- Furniture
- Household goods
- Electrical products
- Battery-powered items
- Sporting goods
Typical required documents
- GCC (General Certificate of Conformity)
- CPC (Children’s Product Certificate)
- Test reports (if applicable)
- Manufacturer information
- Product identification & tracking data
Failure to provide valid compliance documents may result in: customs delays, inspections, storage fees, penalties, refusal of entry.
Fabulk does not issue compliance certificates but can forward customer-provided documents through logistics channels when required.
Import Duties, Taxes & Tariffs (2026 Update)
Import duties and taxes are determined by government authorities and vary by:
- HS Code classification
- Product category
- Country of origin
- Declared customs value
- Trade policies and regulations
In 2026, global trade policies continue to evolve rapidly, and many markets have reduced or removed low-value duty exemptions.
United States (2026 Update)
- The previous Section 321 (De Minimis) duty-free threshold is no longer broadly applicable for commercial shipments
- Most commercial imports may now be subject to: customs duties, Section 301 tariffs, anti-dumping duties (AD), countervailing duties (CVD), import taxes and fees
- Any shipment value may potentially be assessed by customs authorities
European Union (EU)
- The previous €150 duty-free threshold for low-value imports has been removed
- Import VAT applies to most goods regardless of value
- Customs duties may apply based on product category and origin
- Additional compliance requirements (CE / REACH / RoHS / EPR) may be required depending on product type
United Kingdom (UK)
- Import VAT applies based on shipment value and category
- Customs duties may apply depending on HS code and origin
- Regulatory inspections and reassessments may occur at customs discretion
Key Takeaway
There is no universal duty-free guarantee in 2026 global trade.
Almost all shipments may be subject to: customs review, import taxes, regulatory checks, tariff adjustments.
DDP vs DDU / DAP
Depending on the service selected, Fabulk offers both DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) and DDU/DAP (Delivered Duty Unpaid / Delivered at Place) solutions. Consult your shipping options at checkout for availability.
Customs Inspection & Government Authority Rights
All shipments may be subject to customs inspection, regardless of shipping method.
Inspections may include: document verification, product sampling, compliance checks, valuation reassessment.
These processes are determined solely by government authorities and cannot be influenced by Fabulk or logistics providers.
Our Commitment
While customs and tariffs are controlled by governments, Fabulk actively supports customers by:
- coordinating suppliers and warehouse operations
- ensuring proper packaging and labeling
- reducing logistics friction through experienced partners
- providing document handling support when required
- improving shipping route efficiency
Our goal is to help customers move goods internationally with maximum efficiency and minimal operational complexity.
